TaskHeap.com is a hosted version of the open
source sandev project demonstration application which is
provided for general use by SAND Services Inc. (SSI). At SSI we
recognize that privacy is important, and this document outlines the
types of information we receive and collect when you use the
TaskHeap.com service, as well as some of the steps we take to
safeguard information. We hope this will help you make an informed
decision about sharing personal information with us.
We store your username, password, name and email address with your TaskHeap.com account.
We store information about your project heap including work items, associated accounts, published heap access, notes, descriptions, external links and other project data that you enter or create through interaction.
We use cookies and other technologies to enable smooth interaction with the TaskHeap.com service.
Our servers automatically record information when you use our services including the date and time of the request, IP address, browser type, locale information, URL and other request information.
Your password is used to authenticate you when you login. We regard your password as confidential and will not share this information except as required by law.
Your username, name and email are used in the event we need to contact you for administrative purposes (such as if you forget your password), and it is made available to others you have authorized to see your heap data in order to facilitate workgroup communication. We do not rent your name or email address, and we do not send you special offers, newsletters or similar broadcast communications.
Your project information is used by us for testing purposes, aggregate statistics, and to drive advertising content. Project information is made available to others as defined by you through your heap associations and published heap data access.
We may share personal information with third parties in limited circumstances, such as complying with legal processes, preventing fraud, preventing imminent harm, or ensuring the security of our network and services.
We process personal information on servers in United States of America.
You may decline to provide personal information to us and/or refuse cookies in your browser, although some of our features or services may not function properly as a result.
You may download the open source application and install it on your own server rather than using our service.
You may purchase a subscription for a heap and/or for your account to turn off the advertising as described on the about screen.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. No part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
You can access your account and heap information by logging in to the TaskHeap.com website.
